FOAMS FOR OUR PROTECTIVE MATS Our protective mats with anti-slip bottom side have a core made of rigid polyurethane foam with a density of 160 kg/m3. • High energy absorption value – safe absorption of impacts Our lightweight protective mats consist of a core of 6 cm thick, 30 kg/m3 density polyethylene foam, surrounded on both sides by a 1 cm layer of soft polyurethane foam with a density of 16 kg/m3 each. • Light yet very durable • Flexible PU foam Polyurethane is perfect for producing soft foam elements. • Density: RG 23–25 kg/m3 Density indicates how much a cubic meter of foam weighs – the higher the value, the heavier the foam. Our foams with densities between 23 and 25 are lightweight, making them easy to carry. • Pressure hardness: 3.6–5.0 kPa The pressure hardness indicates the resilience of the foam – the higher the value, the harder the foam. With a value above 3.5, our foam is characterized by high shape stability. • Certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, product class 1 – Articles for babies and small children • CFC-free Our foam is produced without the use of CFCs using modern, environmentally friendly technologies. Soft polyurethane foam with a density of 23–25 kg/m3 is used to produce our rehabilitation shapes and foam toddler corners, colourful foam beds, ball pools, foam rockers, seats, armchairs, sofas and pouffes, and mattresses (except our fall protection mats). • Polyurethane foam is also available in a flame retardant version CME, tested according to EN 1021–1, EN 1021–2 This foam has a density of 30 kg/m3. We use it as a filling for the production of Inflamea 2 upholstered furniture and Quadro 2 mattresses Layered structure of anti-slip mattresses protecting against falling FOAM COVERS With the goals of sustainable development and eco-design in mind, we have consciously made the decision to gradually replace PVC (polyvinyl chloride) with PU (polyurethane). Our continuous effort to create products that are safer for both health and the environment, driven by growing ecological awareness, has led us to choose PU as a material with a reduced environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle—from raw material production, through use, to more environmentally friendly disposal and recycling at the end of its life. Polyurethane is a more modern material and significantly cleaner in chemical terms. It contains no chlorine, does not require the use of phthalates and it is durable. In practice, this translates to lower migration of additive substances and a reduced risk of releasing undesirable compounds. PU is also a material widely accepted in Scandinavian countries, which have long applied strict precautionary principles regarding chemicals in children’s products. In choosing polyurethane, we were guided by both user safety and environmental responsibility. As a result, our products are not only of high quality but also more aligned with the latest health and ecological standards. The decision to change materials is another step toward transparent, conscious, and responsible production—one that parents and institutions caring for the well-being of the youngest can confidently rely on. OUR FOAMS They are flexible and retain their shape. They are manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner and are not harmful to health. 3 www.mojebambino.pl/en
